Terrace RCMP investigate suspicious death in Thornhill
Terrace RCMP and the North District Major Crime Unit (NDMCU) are investigating after a man was found unresponsive in a Thornhill residence early Tuesday morning
A report of an unresponsive man at a Thornhill residence has led the Terrace RCMP to initiate a suspicious death investigation, with the North District Major Crime Unit (NDMCU) now spearheading the probe.
In the early hours of Tuesday, Terrace RCMP responded to a report of an unresponsive man at a residence in the 3700 block of Mueller Avenue in Thornhill. Frontline officers discovered a deceased man inside the home, triggering an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

In a press release Thursday, Terrace RCMP announced the involvement of the NDMCU. The unit, which is called when deaths are suspicious, and murder can’t be ruled out, is working closely with local police and the BC Coroners Service.
Authorities have assured the public that this appears to be an isolated incident, with no perceived ongoing risk to community safety. However, residents can expect a noticeable increase in police activity in the area as detectives continue their work over the coming days.
